The women empowerment cell of Dr YSR Government Degree College engages sensitizers and empowers the students of the institution towards the cause of gender equality. The cell organizes guest lectures, workshops and awareness programs on various women related issues to equip them with a wide range of skills and knowledge for the betterment of self and Society.

Objectives :

         1. To promote culture of respect and equality for female gender.

         2. To educate students towards gender sensitization.

         3. Arranging guest lectures to create awareness on economic,social,political and legal rights of women.

         4. Conducting various competitionsfor girl students to encourage their artistic talents for creative thinking.

         5. Celebrating international Women's Day on 8th March every year.
